Membership
Why Membership Matters
Becoming a member of a local church is more than adding your name to a list — it’s saying yes to a spiritual family. Membership is a commitment to follow Jesus alongside others, to be rooted in community, and to partner with the mission of the church.
In the Church of the Nazarene, membership means:
• You believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior.
• You’ve experienced new life through His grace.
• You agree with the beliefs and values held by the Church of the Nazarene.
• You’re ready to join in worship, discipleship, service, and witness.
We believe church isn’t just something you attend — it’s something you belong to. And when one member rejoices or struggles, the whole body joins in. We grow together.
What It Means to Belong
Membership is about shared life. When you become a member, you’re committing to:
- Worship faithfully – showing up with others to praise God and learn from His Word.
- Live in community – building relationships, offering support, and holding each other up in prayer.
- Serve with purpose – using your gifts to build up the body and reach out in love.
- Live a holy life – seeking to live more like Jesus in your daily actions, words, and decisions.
- Support the mission – through your time, talents, and resources, helping the church fulfill its calling locally and globally.
We’re not looking for perfect people — just those ready to journey together in grace and truth.
How to Take the Step
Thinking about membership? We’d love to walk with you.
Here’s what to expect:
- Connect with a pastor or leader – We’d love to hear your story, learn where you’re coming from, and walk with you on this journey.
- Get to know us – Spend time learning about our church family, what we believe, and what it means to be part of the Church of the Nazarene.
- Ask questions – This is a space to explore, be curious, and talk through anything you’re wondering about.
- Get involved – Start showing up, serving, and sharing life with others. Membership grows deeper as we do life together.
Membership isn’t the finish line — it’s a new beginning. It’s a commitment to love and be loved, to grow, and to make a difference together in Jesus’ name.
